Some damage was done to my purse today. I haven't been feeling very well as of late so I felt a trip down to my local Superdrug was more than needed. I am certainly feeling a lot better afterwards - there's nothing like a little retail therapy eh?

The first thing I put into my basket was something that I've wanted for ages, and it's just become available in the UK. I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about - Maybelline's Baby Lips lipbalms. I bought the 'intense care' one because the colder months are coming and I need a little extra care on my lips. Also, kudos to me for not spending all of my money and indulging on Maybellines 3 for 2 offer and buying three different flavours.

I've also needed some bog standard hair products for too long (i.e hair spray and heat protection, I do own essentials like shampoo don't panic), so today I pulled my socks up and bought some. The Urban Fudge hairspray smells... like hairspray. After reading reviews that describe it as smelling gorgeous I was very excited to spray this all over my head when I got home but to me it just smells like hairspray. Perhaps it's because I'm used to the 'Garnier Fructis' (I think that's spelt correctly) hairspray which smells somewhat the same.

The Collection concealer is also something I've wanted for a while, after reading blogs/watching Youtube reviews of it I decided I had to buy it. The colour is very good and I like the lipgloss sort of applicator.

I also took a quick trip into Poundland before I went home, as you can very often find some gems in the makeup section. I've seen Rimmel London, Sally Hansen, Stila and even O.P.I in there, so before you walk past Poundland because you think it's full of cheap rubbish think again! I found two things in there, the first being a tangle teaser dupe (they've called it 'tangle attack'). I've been wanting a tangle teaser for ages but I can't justify spending £15 on a hairbrush, and a £1 substitute is perfect. I believe the bristles on the original tangle teasers are slightly rubbery, but the ones on this one are plastic. Despite this, it works really well! It comes with a cute cover and doesn't tug or pull at all. Definitely worth £1. I also bought a Rimmel London 'Stay Matte Dual Action Concealer', which has an outside layer of concealer, and a green middle bit which is supposed to 'gently treat blemishes'. It's a nice consistency, and a perfect colour for my skin tone, so I'm excited to try it out.

I am currently listening to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRneht8d2QA Am I a loser? Afraid so.

Hope you're having a lovely week, apologies for a bit of a ramble-y post,
p.s: like the new theme?
